Role Description The Headlight Restoration Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Northern Virginia and the surrounding metropolitan area. This role involves inspecting vehicle headlights for , oxidation, and visibility issues, and performing restoration procedures such as cleaning, sanding, polishing, and sealing to improve clarity and safety. The technician will prepare work areas, select appropriate tools and materials, and follow company standards and safety protocols during each restoration. Daily responsibilities include communicating with customers about service needs, documenting work performed, and maintaining equipment and supplies in good working order. The technician may also assist with related vehicle appearance services and support team members in meeting productivity and quality goals.

Qualifications

• Candidates should ideally have prior experience working on body damage repair, paint repair, and tasks that require meticulous sanding.
• Experience or aptitude in automotive detailing, refinishing, or similar hands-on technical work, with attention to detail and quality.
• Technicians must provide and bring their own cordless drill to the job site, and they are fully responsible for maintaining it to ensure it is always charged and fully operational.
• Ability to stand, bend, and work with tools for extended periods, and w ork in varying weather conditions.
• Reliability in attendance, time management, and task completion, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Understanding of mitigation practices and awareness of invasive species or environmental factors that can impact vehicle surfaces.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with customers, team members, and supervisors, including clear explanation of services and findings.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; prior experience in automotive services, restoration, or maintenance is beneficial but not required.
• Willingness to learn company-specific restoration techniques and participate in training to improve technical and customer service skills.
